Dubai Chambers, in cooperation with Al Tamimi & Company, hosted a legal workshop on 14 May 2026 to familiarise the business community with the UAE’s new Civil Transactions Law. The session attracted 142 business representatives.

According to the Emirates News Agency, the workshop provided a practical overview of the legislation with particular attention to contracts, obligations and business activity. It also highlighted the law’s role in modernising the UAE’s civil legal framework and making legal rules easier to understand and apply in practice.

For businesses, the development reinforces the importance of reviewing contracts, internal procedures and commercial arrangements against the current legal framework rather than relying on documents prepared under older assumptions.

The workshop formed part of Dubai Chambers’ wider programme of legal events for the private sector and provided an opportunity for businesses to consider the practical effect of legislative change on day-to-day operations.
